Please note:
If you'd like to suggest a charity, you're free to do so using the ask box either here on on the home page. Please keep in mind the Ancorealm Twitch page only typically gets a payout every 3-5 months, so it can be a while between Twitch funded donations!

Since this page is dedicated to a more serious topic, I'll try to keep my extra thoughts minimal!

Though, if you'd like some trivia on what initially spurred on these donations; Scroll past the charity suggestion box!

The timing just happened to work out this way, and I decided to stick to it. I don't like to say it because I know it sounds too cheesy, but I did hope to be able to give some amount of good by streaming. These donations are one way I hope to do that! I believe in karma in a very human way, we get what we give to people. So I want to give people good where I can.
Why I donate:
I hit affiliate with Twitch on December 2nd, 2022. I can't recall when exactly but not long after this was when a certain unnamed author of an unnamed children's book about wizards began making rounds on social media for their unacceptable bigotry towards transgender people. In quite honestly a move of pure spite, I tweeted publicly that I would be donating a portion of my first payout to a queer aid charity- which I did. And after that first $10, I just kept donating it every payout. It was an act of spite, but the kind that I like to think only hopes to put good in the world to help ease just a little bit of the bad.

Obviously, it can't offset everything. I'm one man, after all. I did once hear though: "Create meaningful chaos". And I'd like to try to apply that ideology wherever possible, because I do think it's a wonderful way to live. So for as long as I stream, I'm going to keep donating. I hope someday to do an actual charity subathon of some sort, too!

If you'd like to help create some chaos, how about starting where that quote I mentioned came from (at least for me)? Icaruspendragon, also known as Berklie Novak-Stolz, wrote a book of poetry self-described as "A collection of words about love, grief, searching, sacrifice, absolution, and what lies in between."
Which you can purchase a special version of to have the net proceeds donated to Random Acts!
